RBS have demonstrated prototypes for screening pulmonary TB with lab samples. Estimated time to detect TB is 5minutes. Current skin tests can take 7 to 10 days!

Testing using cough samples from TB patients in India will be completed by May 2004

Currently, the RBS business model is being applied to screening of Tuberculosis. However, the product can readily be adapted for detection of other infectious organisms resulting in potential upside to this Business Plan. New market areas such as food screening will be reviewed. Furthermore, following successful results from screening and appropriate levels of repeatable high sensitivity levels, RBS intends to review the feasibility of its current technologies for use as "diagnostic tools" to detect infectious diseases.
